Notes
Bought from alcoholic owner. She was about 20 lbs and 12 lbs over weight. She is now 4-8 lbs where she should be. She was very shy and would have bitten anyone that did not know how to handle dogs. She was placed in a kennel by herself that was escape proof and left alone until she wanted me. She was food driven and would eat as much as you put down for her. She was given only one handful of kibbles a day and soon she was jumping up and down as she was healthy and free of the fat she carried. After she was acclimated to the ways of our farm and me, she was put in with some friends, the 2 shiborgie's. She did not get along with them as they were too bold and dominate.
Princess is timid with small bones. She is a very small dog for a sheltie and I do not believe she is a pure bred though she has AKC paperwork. She has the correct length of muzzle and tail. Coat is a tad bit more than it should be with too much undercoat. Her back coat was clipped short when I got her but now it is grown in and she looks like a sheltie. Her tail is still not plumb enough for standards. She might have hypothyroidism?
She is way too hyper for my liking except when in the house. She also likes her house kennel and pillows. She is now ok with strangers for the most part as her genetic personality is being a nice happy dog. She watches for body movement and hand signals and would make a great huggable service dog. Her price reflects her temperament and personality as well as her salability.
I do not mind keeping her for another litter of pups out of our F-1 Shiborgi male.
Health Record
over weight when she came and now weighs about 4-7 lbs and healthy. I see no health issues but I am leery of cataracts in the eye as I see a slight whitish over the iris. We shall see. Most akc purebreeds carry health issues so I shall be keeping her outcross pups and watching for any problems.. I believe and have proven that outcrossing begets good health and over rides any health issues if the correct pups are chosen for rebreeding. Enough generations and the health issues will be gone in the new generations.
Has dhalp+ckv+pv and has been wormed twice.
Had 4 pups June 22 2024. Milk is not profuse. Pups were put on both females. 10 pups and 2 moms so to speak.
